How it works

From two phone clips to a real coaching plan

No studio, no launch monitor, no waiting for an appointment. Here's exactly what happens at each step — and what SwingWorks is honest about not being able to tell you yet.

1

Tell it about your game

A short questionnaire covers your handicap, shot shape, height and weight, any physical limitations, and — new — your grip: how you hold the club and how tight. That grip info alone flags common faults (like a strong or weak V) with specific fixes, before you've even filmed a swing.

Self-reported, not guessed
2

Record face-on and down-the-line

Two clips, both angles, filmed on your phone. Most apps let you get away with one angle — SwingWorks asks for both because plenty of faults (sway, hip rotation timing, wrist condition at the top) only show up clearly from one specific side.

Two camera angles required
3

We check your setup, before the swing even starts

Posture and forward tilt, shoulder height, stance width, and head position versus the ball are measured directly from your address position. Alignment and shaft lean are flagged too, with guidance and a manual trace tool so you can check them against the frame yourself.

Address position, measured
4

Your blueprint gets built around you

Tempo, turn, and the faults detected in your swing get matched to a coaching archetype and, separately, to the closest publicly-known tour player build for your height and weight — a style reference, never a claim that you swing like they do. If you've told SwingWorks about a physical limitation, the plan adapts around it instead of ignoring it.

Built for your body, not a generic model
5

Ask your coach whatever comes up

Confused why something was flagged? Want the two-minute version of a drill? Ask, right there in the app — as many times as you like. That's the part that usually costs you another lesson.

Included, unlimited
6

Track whether it's actually working

Pick one thing to watch — shoulder turn, hip sway, tempo ratio — and SwingWorks shows a hit/miss dot per session plus a plain-language trend, so "am I improving?" has an actual answer instead of a feeling.

Progress over time, not just one score

Being upfront

What SwingWorks doesn't claim

A coaching tool is only useful if you trust what it tells you — so here's what's measured versus estimated, plainly.

Measured from video

Swing phases, tempo ratio, posture at address, stance width, shoulder height, head-vs-ball position, and the swing faults in SwingWorks's fault library — all pulled from your actual footage, frame by frame.

Self-reported or estimated

Grip and shaft lean aren't measured from video (grip is questionnaire-based; shaft lean ships as guidance plus a manual trace tool). Turn and X-factor figures are camera-projection estimates, not lab-grade motion capture. Tour comparisons describe style only — never invented stats about a real player.
